Rewiring

Whole houses and single rooms

From
£4,800
How long
Five to eight days for a three-bed house

Most houses built before the 1980s were wired for a lamp, a radio and a kettle. A rewire brings them up to date: enough sockets where you actually live, separate circuits for the kitchen and the shower, and modern protection on every one.

We start with a free survey, give you a fixed price and plan the work room by room. Floors lifted are put back, chases are filled and left ready for paint, and you get the certificate at the end.

Questions

Can we stay in the house?

Usually, yes. We work a floor at a time and leave you with lights and a working kitchen every evening.

How do I know if I need a rewire?

Old rubber or fabric cable, a fuse box with fuse wire, round-pin sockets or a failed inspection are the usual signs. A survey costs nothing.
